The Sauk-Suiattle Indian people have lived underneath the gaze of Whitehorse hill for a number of years: since Fishermen, Gatherers and Hunters around Sauk Prairie and close to the present-day areas Darrington, Marblemount and Rockport, WA. In early weeks, we were known as the Sah-ku-me-hu.
